Oidiomycosis of the tongue, characterized by an ulcerating granuloma, is apparently a rare affection. We have not been able to find any description of cases similar to the one recently studied here, in which both the pathologic lesion of the tongue and the micro-organism concerned in its development presented unusual features.
REPORT OF CASE
History.
—H. L., a male infant, had been under feeding care at the Harriet Lane Dispensary from the age of 4 months. The family history was negative. The mother had been compelled to wean the baby when he was 2 weeks old, and he had never gained weight. July 15, 1922, when first seen, he weighed 8 pounds and 14 ounces (4,025.6 gm.).
